Kelly Hitzing, ASLA, PLA

Parks Design Lead

Kelly is a Florida native with a background in graphic design and studio art. While living in New York City, she developed an interest in the design of public space that led her to pursue a graduate degree in Landscape Architecture at the University of Virginia. After working in various landscape architectural firms around the country, she was drawn back to South Florida's subtropical plant palette and year-round sunshine. She has experience with domestic and international projects of all scales and types – from high-end waterfront residential to master planning entire islands in the Caribbean. As an associate at SMDS, Kelly works on public projects focused on sustainable design solutions addressing issues of sea-level rise in Miami.

Kelly is a registered Landscape Architect in the State of Florida.
