In close collaboration with the City and design team, a Master Plan was created to link street, building, and open space. Our open space concept integrates City Hall and adjacent restaurant into a cohesive urban setting. Users are engaged through sensitive placement of indoor-outdoor elements/activities. SMDS was responsible for all open space improvements, including Fountain/Plaza, site lighting, planting and paving. Native/xeriscape planting and local paving materials were selected for their sustainability and ease of maintenance.
