This Atlanta hotel is establishing itself within a former condominium building. The landscape design is meant to give a natural feeling that is integrated with the modern Italian architectural style. The landscape palette is largely native and keeps many existing trees to reduce mitigation and preserve the existing character. The site master planning process relocated the pool area to improve movement through the site, use of space and programming opportunities. Various existing elevations throughout the site help define space and adds a dynamic quality.
The program includes a beer garden, restaurant and pool area. The beer garden and restaurant are accessible to the public. This street-level connection has been improved with a “front porch” and garden area that invites people up the steps and creates a green transition from street to building.
