One of the Miami Baywalk & Riverwalk Design Guidelines Unifying Design Elements, the Mangrove Trellis is a placemaking element that can be retrofit with lights, play equipment, hanging chairs or vine plants to create a variety of environments for diverse experiences on the waterfront. The trellis is designed as an abstracted red mangrove root system and is a sculptural representation of the mangrove as the driving inspiration behind Miami’s Baywalk & Riverwalk branding and design guidelines.
