Zelda Glazer Amphitheater

The Miami Arts Studio is an A-rated school in the heart of Miami focused on academic achievement and the performing arts. In 2020, Miami-Dade County Public Schools proposed approximately 3.6 acres of development adjacent to the Miami Arts Studio School. The project aims to create an outdoor sound garden with a video wall in a surround sound environment for an attendance capacity of 250-persons. The site master plan, designed by SMDS, proposes a natural setting that includes an amphitheater surrounded by walking paths, landscaped areas, water features, picnic areas, and additional parking to create an experiential epicenter for audiovisual entertainment.

Relocation of existing trees as well as a variety of native and ornamental vegetation will frame recreational areas and decoratively paved walkways, seatwalls and site furniture. Savino and Miller Design Studio services included plan preparation and specifications for planting, paving, lighting, site furniture, and irrigation improvements.
